HL Peewee Select Tournament Team

Open to all registered Byron Peewee HL players, this team will be 100% self-funded and will compete in 3 tournaments. Tryouts will be had to determine the players who will make up the team.

Registration for the 2019 Byron Select Tournament Team is now open
Byron Baseball is proud to announce the creation of a 2019 House League Peewee Select tournament team. The 2019 team will be comprised of a combination of Major and Minor Peewee players that will compete for selection in an open tryout to be held in April.
The team will compete in three tournaments strategically spread out during the summer to maximize vacation time. The tournaments are as follows:
* Brampton Minor Baseball Association Select tournament – May 24th – 26th (not the long weekend)
* Woodstock Minor Baseball Association Select tournament – June 21st – 23rd
* Greater Niagara Baseball Association Select tournament – July 26th – 28th (this tournament was selected as an overnight stay type tournament to give the players that full competitive baseball experience. The Niagara Region is known for hosting high quality tournaments and the region offers great sights and activities for those who have not yet taken a summer vacation)
There will be 1 additional select practice scheduled during the week, over and above the regular house league team commitment, diamond availability dependent, to work on more advanced skill sets.
All interested players must be registered with Byron Baseball prior to registering for the Select team tryouts. There is a $25 administration cost to tryout that is payable upon registration. Additionally, selected members will be subject to an additional competitive fee. This fee is to cover the cost of tournament registration and uniforms.
Registration will close on April 12th, 2019. Tryout Dates and times are below:
Tryout - April 13th 7-9 at the Power Alley in St. Thomas
Tryout - April 17th 6-8 Riverbend diamond - weather depending
Tryout - April 20th 9am - 11am at the Power Allwy in St. Thomas
Tryout - April 25th 6-8 Riverbend diamond - weather depending
Tryout (if necessary) April 27th 4-6 Riverbend diamond - weather depending
Additional tryouts may be added if the weather has not co-operated.
The coaching staff has been working hard in preparation for this year’s Peewee select team and are very excited to host these tryouts and get playing ball!
