COVID-19 Update April 2nd, 2020
Submitted By Shaun Bonnallie on Sunday, April 5, 2020
Dear Byron Optimist Minor Baseball 2020 Families,

Although BOMBA doors are temporarily closed, our board of directors remain hopeful for our 2020 baseball season. We love nothing more than providing a top-rated baseball season for the children of Byron and surrounding area.   We know your children are looking forward to playing baseball in 2020.

As of April 1st, BOMBA confirms our upcoming season has NOT been cancelled due to COVID-19; however, we will continue to monitor the situation and act accordingly. BOMBA is affiliated with Ontario Baseball as well as PWSA and we will follow their direction. As of right now, all baseball activities under Ontario Baseball are suspended until May 1st with updates to come closer to that date. We are remaining hopeful that, in the coming days and weeks, a nationwide solution is put into place and our baseball season can proceed as planned.  Our season doesn’t usually start to Mid-May in the past.

Although the season has not been cancelled, we understand some families are going through some tough times right now so if you are needing a refund please send an email to [email protected]  and we will try and process the request asap.  Please note that in these times we have temporarily changed our policy and will refund 100% of your fees(No admin fee charged).  For those that do not need immediate funds we are still hoping the season will be played. But rest assured if for some reason that is not the case we will provide refunds at that time.

It is important to keep our heads high during these unprecedented times of uncertainty and to be there for our families and friends. We continue to monitor this situation and as always we are hopeful that we all hear the words "Let's play ball!" soon.

While the kids are at home don’t forget to check out our social media feeds below as we have been posting videos on baseball drills that you can do at home to improve your game and have some fun while doing it.   Stay safe and take care.
