The Passing of Larry Goetz a Baseball legend in London
Submitted By Webmaster on Fri 07 30, 21
Its with a heavy heart that we remember Larry Goetz a long time volunteer in the local baseball community.  Larry's contributions have made it possible for all of our Byron players to have a league to play in over the years.

Below is a message from DKMB's president Brent on the loss.

DKMB Families,

On Sunday morning the DKMB family suffered a
great loss. Larry Goetz who was the backbone of the organization passed away
suddenly.

Anyone who had the honor to know Larry can attest to the incredibly kind,
selfless, and community minded man he was. Larry was heavily involved in youth
baseball in the DKMB community for the past 30 years both with the current DKMB
and the former Delaware/Mt Brydges organization. Larry held nearly every position within
the association and his passion for the game and commitment to the community's
youth was limitless and infectious.

This has been heartbreaking news for those who knew and loved Larry and all of
the kids who were lucky enough to be coached by him. As we grieve and look for
ways to honour Larry's memory, there is no better way than to hit the field and
enjoy the game he loved so much with respect and sportsmanship.

Plans to properly celebrate Larry's life and legacy are currently under way and
will be communicated once finalized. Take care.

On behalf of the DKMB executive,
